Vortex Vagabonds & Rift Raff at vortex_rift invites all Doctor Who and Torchwood icon makers (we like to call them iconographers) to submit 1-7, LJ-sized, still icons that they would like to have a fanfic based on. The dates to submit icons are between now and December 21, 2009. Any Doctor, pairing, character(s), crossover, rating, etc., that the icon maker would like to have an iconfic (fanfic) based on is welcome.

Torchwood and Doctor Who fanfic writers will choose a submitted icon to use as inspiration for a new, original iconfic (fanfic), beginning January 1, 2010. Again, iconfics may be any length, rating, pairing, genre, crossover, character(s) etc..

Visitors to Vortex Vagabonds & Rift Raff will be asked to vote on their favorite icons and fanfics and award banners will be distributed monthly.

Guidelines and a calendar for submitting icons and iconfics are posted at the community.

I don't know about you, fellow Doctor/Rose fans and fanfictions readers, but I TOTALLY adore challenge 18 onthen_theres_us . All those stories are brilliant and I thought it deserved a new community with challenges only about AU D/R stories. What do you think about it?

How to submit your art for the calendar:

The easiest way (for you) is to upload your piece somewhere and give me the link. And I'll put it in the calendar. (Like it's done for the first 6 days).
I'll screen the comments, so you can leave the link to your art here or send me a PM.
Your deadline is two days before your posting date. But you can send them in as early as you like.

If you're good at coding (it's a simple table) you can do it yourself. Below is the code from today:

I'm very very sorry, that the calendar didn't make it on in time. But my PC nearly died. :( He wouldn't do anything and I was without internet... So I had to give him away to check him.
